I’m very gratified to have the opportunity to teach at Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo for this coming fall semester, where I will be teaching a course on jazz and another on the intersection of music and fiction (or, more specifically, the way that musical references and devices work in the short story and selections from a couple novels). My family and I will be in residence there from early September through late December, and the three of us are looking forward to this adventure.
